Tour a distillery and taste Johannesburg local craft gin​

Time Anchor Distillery is the first craft distillery to open in Johannesburg. This is a proudly South African family-business founded in 2013 by Shanna-Rae Wilby and her husband Warrick Brown. The idea was born out of Shanna passion for sharing her alchemy creations with the local community. Despite being a completely self-taught distiller, Shanna-Rae harnesses the skills and techniques from distillers of an old era and takes care to labor over each bottle of spirits they make. 

You will discover a range of authentically crafted gins, whiskeys, rums and liquors made in small batches. Every Friday, Mercure Johannesburg Bedfordview invites you to Gin Friday, where you will be able to taste the local gins from the distillery and to tour Time Anchor facilities.
