Spot 1: Bathers’ Bistro, Balmoral Beach
Start your day with brunch at Bathers’ Bistro set in Bathers’ Pavillion overlooking the blue waters of Balmoral Beach. This idyllic spot provides stunning promenade views of the beach and sea.
The brunch menu is full of fresh seasonal dishes from perfectly poached eggs to fluffy pancakes and freshly brewed coffee. It's the ideal place to relax and enjoy a leisurely brunch with friends by the beach. Signature dishes include brioche French toast with quince and orange, Moroccan baked eggs with merguez sausage and the famous Bathers breakfast with all the trimmings.
After brunch take a stroll down to the beach for a dip in the ocean or grab a seat on one of the benches to soak up the sun and people-watch.
Aside from good food and beautiful views, the Pavilion holds a special place in Sydney's history - it was originally built in 1928 as a changing pavilion for swimmers. It has since been renovated and restored to its former glory, maintaining its beautiful art deco style architecture.

Q Dining, situated on the edge of Circular Quay in the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour hotel, provides a modern and sophisticated setting. Menu highlights include oysters mignonette, poached prawns, crab and saffron pasta, and tenderloin Black Angus. This fine dining experience ends with a delicious poached peach dessert with macadamia, earl grey, mascarpone, and honeycomb.
Spot 3: Opera Bar Sydney
Located next to the Sydney Opera House, the Opera Bar boasts one of the most spectacular waterfront settings in the world. With stunning views of Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the city skyline, this open air venue offers a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere.

Located within the beautiful Royal Botanic Garden, this picturesque al fresco restaurant offers stunning views of the park and landmarks like the Sydney Opera House, the Art Gallery of New South Wales and Government House.
Terrace in the Domain offers an atmosphere that combines natural beauty with modern charm. Surrounded by greenery and open skies, it's a lovely spot to relax, unwind and enjoy the feeling of the outdoors being indoors.
On the weekend, you can choose between the a la carte menu or the four-course shared brunch set menu. The set menu served with bottomless bubbles includes maple granola with favourites like yogurt and berry compote, avocado and tomato salsa on sourdough with zaatar and bacon, smoked salmon and poached egg with hollandaise sauce, and sundried tomato and sweet potato risotto balls.
Spot 5: The Boathouse, Shelly Beach
Escape the city for brunch - catch a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly Cove and talk a stroll from the southern end of Manly Beach to Shelly Beach to enjoy brunch at The Boathouse on Shelly Beach.
It’s approximatley a 15 minute walk from Manly beach or strong swimmers can even swim from Manly beach to Shelly beach if you're looking to work up an apetite! Offering stunning views of the pristine beach and the Pacific Ocean, The Boathouse is adjacent to Shelly beach and steps from the ocean.
The bright and airy coastal interiors with rustic beach inspired decor offer relaxed seating indoors or outdoors. Find a sunny spot to enjoy your brunch while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Signature brunch favourites include crab toast, croissant French toast, salmon fritters with poached eggs, Sydney rock oysters and ricotta and goat cheese zucchini flowers.
Spot 6: Canvas, MCA
Scenically located on the rooftop of the Museum of Contemporary Art in The Rocks, Canvas offers more than just delicious food. It provides breathtaking views across Circular Quay to Sydney Harbour, including the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The restaurant's neutral interiors set off the warm wood, rippled glass and white marble elements. Just like the rotating exhibitions at MCA, you can expect a changeover in chefs every few months so be sure to check back often on Canvas’ Instagram page. Canvas serves a two-and-three course menu between 11:00am and 4:30pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
Spot 7: Glory Days, Bondi
Located on the Bondi beachfront, Glory Days offers stunning ocean views and the perfect spot to soak up the coastal setting. Located in the restored Bondi Pavilion, Glory Days is an all-day diner offering food with stunning views of the golden stretch of beach.
Dine outdoors beneath chocolate and vanilla coloured umbrellas or inside where Cox Architecture’s design captures the “Every day vacay” spirit. You can sit at the communal table and enjoy acai bowls, breakfast burritos, club sandwiches or scrambled eggs with all the extras.
Start with a coffee, green juice or smoothie - like the mango and blueberry ‘Sunrise’. Highlight dishes include the Glory Days breaky with scrambled eggs and sausages, California pancakes with maple syrup and fruit, and avocado toast with pickled ginger and lime.
