DINING WITH REAL REPORTERS

London

13 Norfolk Place

Suitably set by Paddington Station, one can easily imagine a correspondent whisking off on assignment from the Frontline Club. The haven for journalists was founded by former war reporters, and stands as an homage to conflict coverage. A loft-style restaurant in the Victorian brick building displays some of the last century's most iconic wartime images. These include the London Blitz and the famed V-J Day kiss in Times Square. Are some unsettling? No. Rather than sensationalise the horrors of war, the Frontline Club seeks to illuminate current issues with past perspective, along with lively chats in their forum space. The events are open to the public, but you'll need to earn some press cred to see the members-only club room.
