TROT THROUGH CENTRAL LONDON

London

63 Bathurst Mews

Enjoy an equine getaway in the middle of London with a bucolic trip to Hyde Park Stables. Popular with Victorian aristocrats, mounted excursions wind through 350 acres of parkland, passing the Gothic Revival-style Albert Memorial, shimmering Serpentine Lake and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain. Constructed in the late 17th century by sovereign William III, the avenue was illuminated by oil lamps and given the fancy French title of Route du Roi (King's Road). However, cheeky locals preferred a name that's stuck to this day - Rotten Row.
