Kensington Gardens, Bayswater Road

“…and straight on ‘til morning.” That’s where Peter Pan lives. But you’ll find a beautiful statue of him in Kensington Gardens, to the west of the Long Water, a little way south of the Italian Gardens. Author J.M. Barrie created Peter when he was living nearby at 100 Bayswater Road. In the first Peter Pan tale, The Little White Bird, Peter flies out of his nursery and lands beside the Long Water. The statue by Sir George Frampton is located on this exact spot. Rest assured, there are no ticking crocodiles lurking nearby in the lake, but there may just be a little pixie dust in the air.
