"When thinking about concrete and water we are reminded of bad mafia movies and the very convenient trait of concrete to sink right to the ground. So, when thinking about building a boat, concrete is the last material that comes to your mind. Nevertheless, several concrete boats have been built in Germany, and out of those only two have survived. One, ‘Capella’ is in a museum in Rostock, Germany, while the other, ‘Sip’ can be found in Belgrade on the Sava River. It came to Belgrade after the Second World War as reparation payment and was used as a housing facility into the 1990s. After that it is abandoned and with time nearly destroyed. But in 2015 young enthusiasts have salvaged it and turned into a multi-functional space harboring the River traffic museum and a very nice beer pub. "
