Head to the town centre and gaze up at La Giraldilla. Overlooking Plaza de la Soledad, the ornate building's red façade is accented by decorative wrought iron and bright ceramic tiles. The lower section is of Moorish design, with keyhole arches topping tall windows and elegant balconies that rest on slender columns. The upper section? A bell tower of Spanish Renaissance style, crowned by a statue of Mercury - the Roman patron god of financial gain. Built by an industrialist in 1935, La Giraldilla was once a centre of commerce.
