A COMMICALLY FUNNY MUSEUM

London

35 Little Russell Street

Get ready to guffaw. The Cartoon Museum is a treasure trove of comics, caricatures and graphic novels from the 18th century through today. In 1988, a merry band of cartoonists, collectors and aficionados convened to found a museum dedicated to the art form. 18 years later, that vision became a reality. Find out more about the pioneers of British political and satirical cartoons, the founders of British comics (such as David Law, creator of Dennis the Menace) and other luminaries of the cartoon world. Also on permanent display are original works by Americans like Charles Schulz (Peanuts) and Garry Trudeau (Doonesbury). Visit the well-stocked shop for – what else? – hundreds of comic books, greeting cards and cartoon-related gifts.
