Parque Cerro del Tío Pío, Calle de Benjamín Palencia, 2, 28038 Madrid

The Parque del Cerro del Tío Pío is located in the Puente de Vallecas district of Madrid. Despite representing the highest point in the city with its seven hills, this park is actually very little known, even by local Madrileños. It is, however, a definite must-visit. It’s a beautiful place to take in panoramic views of the Madrid skyline, to contemplate life, read a good book, while away the hours chatting with friends, have a leisurely picnic or go on a romantic date. The best time to visit? At sunset, when the day’s last rays paint the sky above the city in hues of ochre and gold.
