Reinhard Wiesemann has turned the former Franciscan monastery here into a seven-storey artists' village – unique in Germany, and in the middle of Essen! All kinds of creative types do their thing here, happy to have people watching over their shoulder as they work. There's even an ‘unperfect’ restaurant serving buffet dishes.
