Have you noticed? In the Garonne at low tide, it is not uncommon to see something odd peeking out of the water. Wooden logs? Better than that. The vestiges of ships scuttled by German soldiers before they retreated from the city at the end of WWII. Since then, these boats “rise” to the surface when the sea retreats. No doubt these ships make for a surprising picture.
