For Beto Barreiros from Santa Catarina, this has worked out well, so much so that he sold his gas station to embrace the dream of opening a restaurant bar. This way, Box 32 gave way to Mercado Público Municipal, in 1984, revitalising the place. It became the main meeting point, attracting people from all walks of life, so much so it was nicknamed the "most democratic counter in the country", including being the first bar to receive the TOP Marketing Award from ADVB – Associação dos Dirigentes de Vendas do Brasil (Association of Sales Directors of Brazil). A tourist attraction, today an average of 20 thousand people pass by daily. Can you believe it? This place is really incredible!
