Florianopolis isn't just beauty, idyllic beaches and parties, no sir. There's a lot Sambaqui history and culture, like the Tupi-Guarani language which originated at least 4,500 years ago on the Island of Santa Catarina. The neighbourhoods of Santo Antônio de Lisboa and Sambaqui are two of the oldest fishermen colonies in the area, and both now have a wide variety of restaurants, along with the Cacupé neighbourhood, which together form the “Rota Gastronômica do Sol Poente” (Sunset Gastronomic Route of the Sun Sunset), name earned for being considered one of the best places to watch the sunset.
