ROSA ROSAE

ROSA ROSAE

Rome

Roseto di Roma Capitale - Via di Valle Murcia 6

One rose, like one robin, is no sign of spring. Instead, 1100 species of botanical rosebuds, both ancient and modern, are a true spectacle of spring-colored perfumes. The Rome Rose Garden, overlooking the Circus Maximus and the Palatine hill, stands where there once was the temple of Flora, and later a community garden. The green space now hosts rose varieties from all over the world, ancient species already existing 40 million years ago, and experimental creations that take part each year in the international competition dedicated to the iconic flower of spring. Stop and smell the roses!
