In the heights of Rio at the city limits is a spectacular sight: a massive unfinished 16-storey building. Begun some 44 years ago, the would-be hotel was never finished. For many years, the place was used by local artists. Today, a fee is charged to go in, where from the top floors, you can enjoy unobstructed views of the sea and Pedra da Gávea.
