Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle is often described as “the loveliest castle in the world”. The magnificent estate set on 500 acres of verdant parkland has been a Norman stronghold, a palace used by Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon, a Georgian mansion, and a rural retreat for the rich and famous. You’ll find sumptuous interiors, a maze and plenty for the kids to do. There’s also one attraction you won’t find anywhere else – the Dog Collar Museum. Marvel at canine neckwear ranging from fearsome spikes sported by German hounds in the 1500s and ornate gilt Baroque collars, right up to 21st-century haute couture for the fashion-conscious modern pooch. Bow wow!
