Fancy going back in time to when Troyes was the capital of the textile and knitwear industry? Well, you don’t need to go very far. You’ve chosen to stay in one of the biggest and oldest factories in the region. This hotel was once the site of Poron textiles manufacturers. Here, at the end of the 19th century, more than 2,000 employees specialised in making hosiery. Even though much of the business has since been dismantled, there are still reminders of the building’s industrial past. Take a look at the magnificent vintage machine installed in the reception. The engine room and concierge have also remained the same, despite the renovation of the rest of the building.
