The buildings that line the streets of Cabourg display a medley of different styles. Why? During the Belle Époque, at the turn of the 19th century, owners gave free rein to their imagination in designing their homes. Some drew inspiration from their travels abroad for the exterior decoration. Villa Frangeoros is a good example of this. Built in the purest possible colonial style, it looks like a Chinese pagoda or an anemone. Just glance at the façade and your thoughts immediately fly to Louisiana.
