About this city

The Bahraini capital, in 2012, was also designated as the capital of Arab culture by the Arab League. The Al Fateh mosque - one of the biggest in the world, the National Museum, the Arad fort (since 15th Century) and the old neighbourhoods add to the charm of this city. Manama is known to have a thriving nightlife, with clubs and bars popular with visitors from all over the world.
