Enjoy the delightful Vondelpark, its flowers, its tranquillity. A pretty English garden as you might imagine, perfect for a romantic stroll. Except for a single detail. Underneath a brick bridge, a grafittied door discreetly opens to what resembles a parallel world. Inside, there is a bit of that. The place was designed during the World War II as a shelter in case of attack. Since that attack never came, the space was transformed in the 1960s into a night club, a production studio, and then a hippie haunt. A big rock band, fan of Dutch roses, even played here once.
