In Munich, in the courtyard of the offices of the international accounting firm KPMG is a peculiar staircase. Indeed, the staircase leads… nowhere! Rising more than 30 meters up, the staircase is a 2004 sculptural work created by the Danish artist Olafur Eliasson. The spiral staircase ascends before descending to arrive at the starting point. A fantasy of surrealism made real.
