The early bird catches the fish! Or at least in the old village of Wieck. Here you can experience the typical Baltic Sea fishing life more authentically than anywhere else. Especially early in the morning when the fishermen return to the port in their vessels laden with flounder, pikeperch and herring from the Bay of Greifswald. But the village is also a charming place to visit during the day, thanks to the quaint thatched fishermen’s cottages and cosy fish restaurants right next to the boats. We recommend spending a whole day here. After all, the clocks in Wieck tick a little slower!
