Starting point: Greifswald. Destination: the romantic fishing village of Freest. And the Baltic Sea cycle route will take you there on two wheels. This leisurely tour is one of the most picturesque in the region. It is secluded and far away from the busy roads through the lagoon landscape. You will pedal past the Eldena Abbey ruins and Ludwigsburg Palace, as well as through Pomeranian villages with their typical thatched cottages and rustic gardens, past salt lakes, sunshine-yellow rapeseed fields and storks’ nests. The route ends in Freest, preferably with a well-deserved, chilled drink in the harbour. Cheers – to you!
