Church of St. Francis - Cuenca 477, Quito

World Explorers
Built in 1680, Church of St. Francis is a marvel of colonial architecture. The construction of this holy building was, however, the work of the devil. Or so says the legend: An indigenous man by the name of Cantuña was responsible for the work. Far behind schedule, the poor man ended up receiving a visit from the devil, who made him an offer: he would finish the construction in exchange for Cantuña’s soul. Cantuña accepted, but on one condition: the work had to be finished by the next morning without a single stone missing. Deal! Dozens of tiny demons worked tirelessly, and dawn rising, the building is finished. Except a stone is missing. Bingo. Cantuña can keep his soul, and you, you get to find the hole in the church.
