On Direita de Santo Antônio Street, a colonial-style building has been transformed into a small shop. Commonplace? Take a step inside. Then turn right and walk straight to the back. There you will find Bar Cruz do Pascual and its secret terrace with a view of All Saints’ Bay. You might enjoy a drink in the company of Gilberto Gil, the famous musician and Salvador’s former minister of culture. It is, supposedly, his favourite haunt. Not such a common shop after all.
