A TRIBUTE TO SWALLOWS

Campinas

Av. Anchieta, 200 – Centro

Weird & Wonderful
The swallows didn't return, but they were honored in the centre of Campinas with a bronze sculpture by Lelio Coluccini. A swallow doesn't make a summer, many of them gathered at dusk in the square that received their monument, as a representation of their flights after a day of hunting for food. In front of Museu de Arte Contemporânea (Museum of Contemporary Art) of Campinas, the 1957 monument is still admired by those who pass by. Pure art!
