At the end of the yerba mate trail from Puerto Igazu, you will reach Estancia Santa Inès. It was on this ranch that, just a few years ago, the mysterious Don Pancho lived. He ran a small grocery store, but would disappear on some nights. What was he up to? Some were convinced that he transformed himself into a werewolf. A pact, it is said, between the villagers and Don Pancho: they agreed to keep quiet about his metamorphoses, and he agreed to keep away when he transformed. If you pass by Estancia Santa Inès and its infamous grocery, do not mention Don Pancho!
