Room was very dated and needs refurbishment Bathroom was dingy and bath was dirty My young daughter found a rotting orange In the fridge (Probably still there) Staff very friendly and helpful Found the fact that dogs are allowed to stay at the hotel a bit off putting, especially after over hearing that one had taken its toilet on the room floor

Stayed fir 2 nights in a family room with my daughter and grandson, we were welcomed at reception and my grandson received a bag with activities and a chocolate egg The room was lovely and the staff and food and drink were too

Poor Quality breakfast ingredients

Hotel was ok but what really jet it down was the food. I should have been warned the night before when I saw a couple send a bar meal back. Anyway for breakfast there was bacon with no taste, cheap sausages. poor quality black pudding and hash browns which look cheap and nasty, have no flavour and look like they’d been sourced from a pound shop. For £12 a head in the hotel your better off going to the pub 400 yards down the road. The toast and coffee and eggs were quite nice. Otherwise very disappointing. I’ve stayed in other Mercure’s before and breakfast then was far superior, standards have dropped.
