Appreciated the early check in

We arrived 2 hours early to check in after a long overnight flight and were grateful to have an early check in. However the room was not up to the standard we have come to expect from Novotel. As gold club members there was no welcome drink or water in our room or any welcome gift. There was only 1 tea bag and 2 coffee capsules. As it was we slept for the initial part of our stay as had an early morning departure. There was some misunderstanding about our room number and we had house keeping trying to get into our room before we had even left. This was the second time we’d stayed at the hotel in the past 3 weeks. We enjoyed the dinner in the evening and the close proximity to the airport.

when we booked - we booked for two 25 seater bus parks in the staff car park - it is uncovered. they advised how to get in. We have parked their numerous times before. During breakfast i got a call from Budget advising the hotel had contacted them, and i had to move the buses. i went to reception and explained that we prebook the car park, and paid on checkin. the reception staff said she the supervisor. the supervisor then proceeded to tell me off and tell me the reason i should not being allowed to park there. it was bizarre. totally the wrong way to deal with the issue. an apology was the way forward
